    I had a couple of cans of red kidney beans last month that I used up a few spoonfuls at a time mixing them into my regular mixture.

    I think we must have been poor for a few years after my parents divorce because I remember my mom making us those kinds of beans on toast a lot for dinner for a while. I’m scarred for life  that memory and can’t eat them now lol.

    I cooked red beans a few weeks ago with sausage and put over rice.  We love that.  I cook a pound of dry bean about once a month.
