Is there any guitar that sounds better than a Gretsch?

A lot more depends on the virtuosity of the player than the instrument. Jimi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler or Eddie van Halen could rock a Squier or First Act and still sound okay, while somebody like Niall Horan could ruin a Schecter.
