What is CHAPARRAL? "A shrubland plant community found mainly in Calfirnia/sothern Oregon/parts of the Baja California Peninsula. Elsewhere?

Central Arizona, Western Texas and parrts of the coast in central Mexico.

All share a Mediterranean-type climate.

    I believe there's a chaparral-type plant on nearly every continent.  Our local "chaparral" is called poison oak (nasty stuff).
