I do own a telescope. I haven't used it since I moved to the city but I have been been thinking of getting out of the city one of these nights and do some star gazing. Cheers and happy weeked!

I had a six inch reflector years ago. I saw many cool things. I had a six inch reflector in my classroom.

No, just a pair of binos that are in the kit bag that I always take with me when I go to Minneapolis. (Cough, cough.)

The question was pertaining to the "night sky," that is your first clue.

I know, I know, but in Minneapolis, I only use the binos during daylight hours because the penalties for nocturnal violations of the (frivolous and unjust) restraining orders are much stiffer. Grrrrrrr.

No.  I've always live in NYC, so the ambient light prevents us from seeing much of the night sky with or without a telescope.  I'm always amazed when I visit my sister who lives in a more rural area and look up at the night sky and realize how many stars are visible on a clear night.  The only other time I realized that was when a couple of friends and I rented a summer house on the beach.  They had no outside lighting at all on the island and we would take a blanket out at night and just lie there looking at the stars.  It truly makes you realize just how small we are compared to the Universe.

Nah! Way too much light pollution for it to be of any use.
