    Sure, why not?

And while we're at it, let's start allowing states to reject Niggers, and Injuns, and Spics, and Homos, and Wops, and Kikes, and Slant-Eyes, and STOOPID EBIL LIBRUHLZ, and Anyone Who Does Not Accept Jesus As Lord and Savior, and etc.

    John, I think you're up...;-D...

Not only do I think they should be able to refuse, but it should be a mandatory law that every State must refuse Syrians.

We should be able to reject anybody who we can not vet properly. We can not vet these people properly. It is just common sense to reject people who we can not verify. In our history we had periods of immigration and assimilation. Now we just keep bringing wave after wave of people into this country who do not wish to assimilate. A recipe for self-destruction.

Anybody who asks a legitimate question and is concerned about nationsl security is stupid to you. So what do we get, the usual knee jerk response that drones are quite fond of, name calling with the stress on the word racist. You would get along quite swimmingly with George Soros and Barack Obama, these ideologues subscribe to the same BS every time. Too bad people have woken up to their crap and are attempting to save their country. Shove your sarcastic, juvenile and always poor attempt at humor where the sun don't shine.

This is not about the refugees. This is about Greg Abbott trying to run for President of the United States. He has only been in the governor's office for one year but has been too busy getting national attention instead of doing his job.

He has focused on 3 things:
    1. Saving the Constitution from Onama. He has sued the federal government more than 300 times.
    2. His Jade Helms letter, where he deployed the Texas State Guard to protect Texans from the Federal Government to prevent them from taking our guns. They fear Obama's taking our 2nd Amendment. So he's in the pocket of the NRA as well.
    3. He has a personal war against Syrian refugees. What that stems from, I don't know. I think it has to do with spreading Islamophobia. He is Tea Party and they are set on defending Israel. He has met with Netanyahu personally. Went to Israel, and Sheldon Adelson paid his way.

Yes. If I have a home, I want to keep bad people out. Borders do change and so do society but under the reasons of self-preservation ( of current living people, high living standards and high moral standards are examples ) you should be able to keep those who don't meet the requirements from entering.

Yes. If the Fed wants them here put them in DC.

The Fed decided we did not have enough poor people in my county so took over a 400 unit apartment building and move in Somali families. Within one month crime with up 600%. Robbers, vandalism, was nearly a daily occurrence. Problems in the school system escalated. Police for the first time were placed in grade schools.

    Thanks Obama.

    Hello Drue:

If the state OWNED all the land within their borders, then it ought to be up to them.  But, they DON'T.  The feds DO.  Therefore, it's a FEDERAL government call..  Bummer for Texas isn't it?

You are right, it isn't about refugees.  It's about people trying to get into the country calling themselves refugees.  I don't want them here.  Wonder why the Islamic countries are not accepting any of the so-called refugees?

    What is a refugee?

    NOUN

    1. a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster:
Oh I think we should have the right to screen them and hold them in a safe and comfortable place where they must stay until they are cleared.  Now, being a refugee that might be a tad hard.
It is a conundrum.   Maybe we should just give them a state we don't need any longer and put them all there?  How about Alaska?
